Adobe Edge—HTML5 animation made easy
Okay, so Flash is getting beat up a bit by the whole Apple thing. With the advent of HTML5 and the canvas tag, most developers declared Flash dead. Well, I say not so fast, they both have a place. To keep pace with the web and stay out front, Adobe has introduced Adobe Edge.
Currently available in Adobe Labs as a public beta, Adobe Edge is a new web motion and interaction design tool that allows designers to bring animated content to websites, using web standards like HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3.
After playing around with it, I found it to be sort of like Flash Catalyst or After Effects in how you approach it. Easy to use and it can create some pretty cool animations!

Here's a simple animation that is all HTML5—that took me 1 minute to create, without ever having opened the app before (yes, you can do better):
Note: This won't work in every browser! New tech, right!?
